Houten, The Netherlands — March 21, 2022 — ONE Consultants today announced that its Oxygen Data Tiering Service solution is now available on SAP® Store, the online marketplace for SAP and partner offerings. The solution integrates with SAP BW/4HANA® and SAP HANA®, helping customers to effectively minimize their hot memory spend and continue to control its growth.
SAP HANA® runs on multi-core CPUs and uses live DRAM hardware to store and access data in its in-memory database. This live “hot” data in-memory avoids the performance penalty that classic disk storage databases have. The data tiering capabilities of SAP HANA allow users to free up or reduce in-memory capacity by moving old and less frequently used hot data to cheaper “warm” and “cold” storage layers. To ensure minimal use of the hot data in-memory layer at all times, both functional and technical insights are needed to perform optimal data tiering tuning. Oxygen Data Tiering Service helps customers to solve that challenge.
